Istoriya yevreyskogo naroda UCHEBNIK ISTORII YEVREYSKOGO NARODA DLYA SHKOL'NOGO I DOMASHNEGO OBUCHENIYA PREDISLOVIYe Uzhe davno oshchushchayetsya bol'shaya potrebnost' v uchebnike yevreyskoy istorii na raznykh yazykakh, kotoryy strogo priderzhivalsya by dukha Svyashchennogo Pisaniya, chto stol' neobkhodimo dlya yevreyskikh shkol i dlya domashnego chteniya. Osobenno chuvstvuyetsya eta neobkhodimost' tam, gde schitayut nuzhnym imet' uchebnik yevreyskoy istorii, svobodnyy ot ateisticheskikh iskazheniy i ot tendentsiy snizhat' svyatost' Tory. S etoy tsel'yu Merkaz l'in'yeney khinukh predprinyal izdaniye etogo i posleduyushchikh tomov istorii Nashego naroda, yavlyayushchikhsya uchebnikami yevreyskoy istorii, priyemlemymi dlya vsekh yevreyskikh shkol, v t.ch. i dlya yeshivot i shkol Talmud Tory, a takzhe knigoy dlya domashnego chteniya v sem'yakh, gde revnostno soblyudayutsya traditsii naroda. Takoy uchebnik priyemlem tam potomu, chto on otvechayet dukhu vernosti svyashchennomu naslediyu nashego naroda, a takzhe potomu, chto v nem aktsentirovana pouchitel'naya tsennost' nashey istorii i, nakonets, blagodarya svoyemu yasnomu i ponyatnomu dlya vsekh izlozheniyu. Novym v etom uchebnike (poskol'ku eto mozhno nazvat' «novshestvom») yavlyayetsya to, chto izlozheniye rasskazov Biblii v etikh tomakh dopolneno drugimi traditsionnymi istochnikami, kak Talmud i Midrash. Po vsemu materialu, izlozhennomu v etoy knige, krasnoy nit'yu prokhodit ideya Bozhestvennogo Provideniya, napravlyayushchego sud'bu nashego naroda, i provoditsya mysl', chto eta sud'ba tesno svyazana s velikoy missiyey i zadachey, vozlozhennykh na nas, kak na «Tsarstvo svyashchennikov i svyatogo naroda»; zadachey, obyazatel'noy ne tol'ko dlya nashego naroda v tselom, no i dlya kazhdogo iz yego synovey i docherey v otdel'nosti. Blagodarya vsemu etomu, kazhdyy yevreyskiy rebenok, izuchayushchiy yevreyskuyu istoriyu po etomu uchebniku, pochuvstvuyet gordost' i dostoinstvo ot soznaniya togo, chto on yevrey ili yevreyka. Luchshe ponimaya nastoyashchiy smysl istorii svoyego proshlogo, rebenok sumeyet boleye polno otsenit' i ponyat' smysl istoricheskikh sobytiy kak v nashey povsednevnoy zhizni, tak i nashego budushchego. Eto pozvolit nashim detyam, kogda oni podrastut, nayti pravil'nyy otvet na mnogiye slozhnyye voporsy, zanimayushchiye luchshiye umy nashikh sovremennikov. Bruklin, N'yu-York. 1946 g. Yaakov Izaks

INTRODUCTION

For a long time there is a great need in the book of Jewish stories in different languages, which are strictly adhered to the spirit of the Scriptures , that is so necessary for Jewish schools and for home reading . Especially felt this need wherever they see fit to have a textbook of Jewish history , free from distortion and atheistic tendencies reduce the sanctity of the Torah.

To this end, Merkaz l'ineney HaChinuch undertook the publication of this and subsequent volumes of the history of our people, the Jewish history textbooks are acceptable to all Jewish schools, including and eshivot and Talmud Torah schools , as well as for home reading a book in families where zealously followed the tradition of the people. This tutorial is acceptable there because it meets the spirit of loyalty to the sacred heritage of our nation , and also because it accentuated instructive value of our history , and finally , due to its clear and understandable for all presentation .

New in this tutorial (as it may be called " innovation ") is that the presentation of Bible stories in these volumes complemented by other traditional sources such as the Talmud and the Midrash .

Throughout the material set out in this book permeates the idea of Divine Providence that guides the destiny of our people, and leads to the conclusion that this fate is closely linked with the great mission and the task assigned to us as a "kingdom of priests and a holy nation "; task, mandatory not only for our nation as a whole , but also for each of his sons and daughters separately. Thanks to all this , every Jewish child , studying Jewish history in this tutorial , feel the pride and dignity of knowing that he was a Jew or Jewess . Better understanding the true meaning of the story of his past , the child will be able to more fully appreciate and understand the meaning of historical events in our daily lives and our future. This will allow our children when they grow up, find the correct answer to the many complex Matters V occupying the best minds of our contemporaries.
