INTRODUCTION

In the 18th year of the existence of our organization, we, with gratitude to God, to produce light this edition Machzor-f on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur with Russian translation.

"Brice Avrogom" was founded in 5739, the (1979) to help - both material and spiritual - our Jewish brothers, immigrants from the Soviet Union. One of the goals of our organization - translated into modern Russian classical Jewish primary sources, opening up a whole world in front of Russian Jews, who for decades had been forcibly separated from the culture and religion of the people.

A wonderful translation of the Machzor is made in Israel, "Shamir" (Union of Orthodox Jewish intellectuals from the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe), which is headed by world-renowned scientist Professor Irmeyagu Bras Nover.

A special relationship exists between the Machzor for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, and the name and scope of the organization, "Brice Avrogom." In a passage of the Torah, we read on Rosh Hashanah, it is said: "And Avraham circumcised Itsha-ka, his son, on the eighth day." And the words of the Torah: "Abra-din also was ninety-nine years old when he circumcised the flesh of his foreskin ... On the same day, were circumcised Avraham and others," - said in the book "Pirkei derabi Eliezer" (Chapter 29): "Avraham was circumcised on Yom Kippur."

For 18 years of our activity we have managed, with God's help, to be circumcised thousands of our brethren, who thus entered the union of our forefather Avraham. Among past circumcision is such, to whom it was made "on the eighth day," and those who at the time of the execution of the commandments were close to the age of our forefather Abraham, when he was circumcised.

Publication Machzor translated into modern Russian language - this is another phase of the goals we have set for our organization: to bring our fellow Jews - both those who moved out of the former Soviet Union as well as those who are still there, - to God.

We hope that those who now come to the synagogue only during the High Holidays of large, can now take advantage of the opportunity that gives them this Machzor - understand the meaning of the prayers and blessings. And find expression literal meaning of the word Machzor ("return"), these people will be more likely to return to the synagogue to pray on the Siddur with Russian translation, which we published in the past, and to study the Torah in our publication with Russian translation. And realized the verse, "And the triple thread is not quickly broken" (Ecclesiastes 4:12).

And God forbid that we have received the Rebbe's see here, in our world, and he will lead us to salvation! And it shall be accepted by God, our prayer contained in the re-Makhzen: "Blow the shofar large, [announcing] our freedom, and lift up the banner under which meet our people, scattered around the world, and gather us, scattered among the nations, and Gather our communities, dispersed along the edges of the earth, and bring us, cheering, in Zion, Thy city, and in Jerusalem, the Temple of thy giving us joy forever ... The next year - in Jerusalem. "
