In this novel - the story of the spiritual quest Tzemach Atlas, who founded a yeshiva in the Jewish settlement in pre-war Lithuania. The importance of the book is an authoritative image mentor, "the rabbi with smolokurni", whose sensitivity, intelligence and ethical certainty subtly but surely help to find their way to many characters in the novel, including the most Tzemach Atlas. Bright and psychological authenticity given in the book of images of yeshiva students and ordinary people, clearly, with love bitterness, shows the manners, way of the Jewish town, religious and social life in and around the yeshiva.
