The novel "Children of Bronstein's" by Eurek Becker (1937-1997), who spent his childhood in a Polish ghetto and in concentration camps - the guilt and responsibility, remorse and revenge. The novel is set in the early 1970s. Eighteen the young man becomes a witness to events, it would seem unthinkable in peacetime. Father Hans, along with two friends, former prisoners of concentration camps, organized the kidnapping of the former camp guard. Hans, having gone on a date with his girlfriend in a vacation home, found a prisoner under torture from which beat out a confession. A boy tries to unravel the mystery of his father, and learn to live with her.
