Jewish Filmmakers in Ukraine, 1910-1945

This book - a documentary story about the creative journey and the fate of Jewish filmmakers - directors, actors and organizers of production and distribution of films - from 1910 to 1945, the year in Ukraine. Text of the book are brief biographical article, built on evidence from a variety of film studies publications, certificates and colleagues relatives filmmakers, snippets of reviews of the periodical press, censorship documents, as well as scripts and librettos of Jewish films, most of which are lost forever.

The text includes a unique photographs: portraits, film stills, the working time of filming, advertisements.
