Jewish Myth in Slavic Culture

Monograph devoted to the image of the Jew in the Slavonic books and folk traditions. Based on historical and folklore and ethnographic sources, the authors discuss concepts such as "Jewish people", "Jewish Faith", "Jewish customs, etc., which were formed in the folklore of the Slavic peoples and book based on a complex ethnic and cultural stereotypes. Studies based on authentic material gathered in the Russian and foreign archives, and during field studies in regions that were part of the Pale of Settlement (the western region of Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, eastern Poland).
