INTRODUCTION

The idea of this collection originated in the seminar training "Summer School for teachers. Art and Tradition "organized educational club" New Jewish School "in cooperation with the Moscow Regional Resource Centre .

"I worked for many years in the music school , said the reporter of Azariah Medvedev , and I even thought arose about some new plays : me and my students have enough repertoire . But when they came to me the children of a Jewish school , I started to think about what they do not know Jewish music and never know if I do not teach them that. "

Azariah chose popular songs in Hebrew and Yiddish , took them in the key , convenient for the execution of children, has placed the finishing touches. On the basis of these tunes Petersburg composer Eugene Khazdan created instrumental pieces . Not beyond the traditional means of expression , he followed a given melody, sought to overcome the prevailing sustainable way , to find the harmonic and textural solution to age-appropriate future performers.

These plays , in fact, represent a musical midrash comment. In his address to the characteristic images and genres of Jewish folklore and traditions found touch of modern ideas about it . This approach makes possible the emergence of intonations synagogue recitative in "Song in Yiddish ," likening prayer "Sim Shalom " grand ritual dance - march , and the famous " Tum - Balalaika " the salon waltz .

Plays were tested in the violin class Medvedeva and Azariah were edited based on the recommendations of the teacher . Easy violin part allows you to enter their students in the repertoire since second grade music school .

Music is for both beginner violinists , and anyone interested in Jewish culture. He has comments that include text of the first verses of songs in Hebrew and Yiddish, Latin transliteration and word for word translation . Song " David, King of Israel » («Dovid meylekh Yisroel»), « Chanukah , Hanukkah » («Khanuke, Khanuke»), Prayer («Ovinu malkeynu») and Hanukkah hymn («Mooyz tsur») are given in the Ashkenazi pronunciation ; "Spinner » («Sevivon»), « candle » («Ner AND ") and "Sim Shalom » («Simshalom») in pronunciation adopted in modern normative Hebrew.
