Hebrew words and their pictorial meaning.

The author uses the graphic talent to show, how much sense is contained within the form of the Jewish words.

The album presented in the following pages bears a unique nature.

We believe that this opus is the first work to display a blend of sheer artistry with love of the Hebrew language.

Michael Gonopolsky made "aliyah" from the Ukraine in 1991. He settled in Haifa. While learning the Hebrew language, he became especially fascinated by the shapes of the letters.

A decision took root in his mind to devote his considerable artistic talent to weaving Hebrew words into his drawings.

In this album, the letters form the drawings. Each page displays a drawing built from the letters of the word that describes the drawing itself.

The letters appear in a variety of styles and suggest the wealth of expression intrinsic to the Hebrew alphabet.

We are certain you will enjoy perusing this unique collection.
