I Belong to My Friend

Article by rav Itshak Zilber I belong to my friend, and my friend to me represents the developed comment for a corresponding line in book Pesn the Song (6, a verse 3). Article is devoted to theme Kidush ga-Shem - to consecration of the Name Supreme.

In all centuries and in all countries Jews consecrated the Name of the Creator with that agreed to go death, but did not refuse a Torah which they have received from the fathers. The author brings  set of examples from the Jewish history, illustrating great selflessness of our people in all that concerns religion. Fidelity to the Creator we have carried by through all times, despite of troubles, tortures, persecutions, accidents and everything, that it was necessary to us to go through. Tsars Nimrod, antiohus, Adrian-Vavilon, Greeks and Romans; the Ancient east and the Medieval Europe, crusaders and the Ukrainian cossacks of an epoch Khmelnitskiy, Germany 14-th centuries and 20-th, Soviet Russia - set of the examples illustrating one idea: Jews as people always remained true to a precept which they have concluded with the Creator of the Universe on mount Sinai. We are alive, and the world of our enemies and haters falls, not leaving from them and a trace; and if who about them remembers, just we, Jews.
