When a man goes out to fight, he looks forward to its natural environment, the strength, like that in the past. In older editions of the Passover Haggadah Moses is depicted in 16th century clothing., In books for children haredi soldiers Bar Kochba - in black yarmulkes and sidelocks, in Mea Shearim. When "Zo Artseynu" I thought it would look activists, as veterans of the settlement movement, "Gush Emunim."

It quickly became clear that it is the Russian-and English-speaking audience, which seemed to me to one side, to really understand our situation. It is from these series always went activists ready to devote himself to the task. It turned out that people from western countries (who knew that such a regime to respect human rights) and people from communist countries (the hard way know the complete violation of those rights) saw Israeli "democracy" in the proper perspective. Under the rule of Rabin, this "democracy" has become a cynical expression of the totalitarian reality. "Americans" know what to strive for, and the "Russian" - from which to escape.

Profound transformation requires the ability to think. The ability to recognize a reality, critical thinking, allowing this reality to outline without the support of the cornerstones of the current, the ability to focus the company on a new reality - all this requires a high level of intelligence. Of course, without a sufficiently mature society intelligentsia work to do, but nevertheless - the revolution starts with the intellectuals, not the crowd.

The most extensive areas of the intelligentsia and the most advanced analytical thinking in Israel we see among the Russian public. It's amazing to compare the perceptions and ideas of Russian-Hebrew-speaking audiences. It has long been living here very difficult to understand what are we talking about. Russian language is public is not only a highly developed intelligence, but a lack of awe before dogma. Lack of experience is transformed into an advantage when you want to do something completely new. Left regime 1992-1996. Israel has made "demoktatorskuyu" reality explicit. There were those who believed that the change of government in Israel will once again be respected individual liberty and freedom of opinion. This did not happen and could not happen. Democratic elections affect only political formation. Other security forces (security forces, courts, propaganda, economy) are in the hands of the ruling oligarchy. This oligarchy is not subject to any election and completely dominates the elected political body (the Knesset), whatever it may be. This rather weak body is meant to our society because it is democratic, because He was elected, not appointed. A striking example of the boundless power of the oligarchy that pervades even the soul of a free man, you can find in this book.

Immediately after Rabin's assassination, I believe, like the rest of Israel, that killed Rabin, Yigal Amir. This is based on the chapter on the assassination. Today I am sure this is not: It's been more than 3 years, most of them with the right government, still silenced by all means any legitimate question about the events of that evening, judicial, investigative and advocacy links oligarchy violently impede this investigation of the incident. For me it was a terrible mystery. It was a period of weakening aggressive totalitarian oligarchy expanding sphere of influence. And so things written two years ago on the basis of a certain level of confidence in the current system, now do not seem reliable. However, preparing this edition, I decided not to change anything in the book. You, the readers, to draw conclusions and on the description of events, as I understood them two years ago, and on the confidence that the system had then - and in the meantime lost.

Lying before you book devoted tiny revolution, in which he won participate. New free thinking, which has made this revolution possible, must go further and lead to a radical transformation of the entire Israeli reality.

The Russian-speaking audience a key role in this transformation.
