The French writer André Schwarz-Bart (1928-2006), having lost all their relatives in the Nazi extermination camps, with fifteen years of fighting for the liberation of France, first in partisan groups, and then in the army of General de Gaulle.

  Already his first novel about the plight of Jews in Europe from the Middle Ages to the Holocaust ("The Last righteous man") in 1959 was awarded the Prix Goncourt.

  Published posthumously last book of Schwarz-Bart's "Morning Star", which tells of a boy from the Polish village, past the Warsaw ghetto and Auschwitz, picks up and completes the theme of the fate of the people who has suffered enormous losses during the Second World War.
