Collected short stories "The walls of the city" - the first of the books by Giorgio Bassani, Italian writer (1916 - 2000), entered into a cycle of works under the general title "Ferrara novel", which was produced for nearly twenty years.
This edition - a revised version of the author of "Five Ferrara stories", first published in Italy in 1956.
