Twenty-fifth of Kislev was completed Mishkan - Portable Temple. On the same day, hundreds of years later, Beth Amikdash, the Temple in Jerusalem was re-consecrated Hashmonaim after its desecration by the Greeks, and the miracle of oil. So eight days from the 25th of Kislev, have been identified by our sages as the days of praise and gratitude. Our Sages of blessed memory installed commandment lighting candles every night for a period of eight days, in order to usher in this miracle.
Chanukah candle lighting - this is the only area of Jewish law, in which the Talmud identifies the extent to which different commands (eg meadrin, meadrin ameadrin min). Therefore, we need to try to execute the laws well. The purpose of this book - to promote the implementation of such a commandment.
We have attempted to present these laws in an orderly, clear and concise manner, and in order to facilitate reading and understanding. In order to stick to our chosen style, links to the sources are kept to a minimum, and are given at the bottom of the page. The rest of the notes are placed in the appropriate sections.
Although the purpose of this paper is to discuss the foundations and laws of Chanukah, it does not in any way intended to say the final word about these laws. In many cases, had to be sacrificed for the sake of brevity, details and clarity. Therefore, if there is any question about the laws of Chanukah, then, as with any other matter, please refer to the rabbi authorized to answer such questions.
We hope that the proper implementation of these laws will allow us to qualify for the arrival of the Messiah and the rebuilding of the Temple soon in our days, amen.

We turned to Rabbi Shimon leader and got his permission to publish his pamphlets on Halacha in just a few days before his death. Perhaps it was the resolution of one of the last good deeds, which is equal to the Eider made in my life.
Hope that this publication will multiply the merits of Rabbi S. Eider before the Creator of the world and the Jewish people! There is no doubt that the study of Russian-speaking Jews of the laws of the Torah from his books will increase its share in the World to Come!
