This book will allow the reader to get acquainted with the 613 commandments ("mitzvot Taryag") listed in the Torah. It is important to note that at the present time - before the building of the Temple of Jerusalem, the fulfillment of all the commandments is impossible, since much of it is directly related to the temple service. Many commands apply only to the Kohanim (descendants of Aharon) or Levites. There is a commandment for farmers, employees, judges, kings, and even slave owners ...
The drafters tried to give the wording of the commandments in compact form, as presented in the Torah or the wording in the book "Sefer ha-Chinuch" ("The book is about education"). Next to each commandment are numbers of other commands that are similar in meaning or in some way associated with it. In addition, the reader can use the key indicator placed on the last page.
With the release of the compilers of the book publishing and guided by the principles set forth in the 454 and 455 commandments: do not add nor take away.
We hope that this book will be interesting for Russian readers.
