The collection of papers by Jewish historians of Russia of the beginning of the 20th century is a reader in history of Jewish community in Russia. The papers included in the book were first published in the magazines «Voskhod» and «Evreiskaya starina» and in the collection of articles «Perezhitoye», that are not easily accessible for the contemporary readers. The compiler selected the most important and interesting papers of the leading Jewish historians. The essays by S. An-ski, S. Dubnov, M. Vinaver, S. Ginsburg, I. Tzinberg, I. Sosis, P. Marek, B. Frumkin, Ju. Gessen are included in the collection. Compilation, introduction and annotations by A. Lokshin.
