(By the thirtieth anniversary of the exodus from the Soviet Union)
In the memoirs of Ernst Levin, "and Staff YOUR HAND IN YOUR" describes the brief but turbulent period of his life: the struggle for travel to Israel first immigrants from Minsk in the early 1970s.
Different people have seen of them: conformists and dissidents, believers and atheists, to the poor romance and lucky rogues. And their fate, too, were different: some Soviet "evil empire" produced with ease, robbing the other to the skin sold as slaves; third pounded in prison or the grave.
The author remembers it 30 years after the departure of the Soviet Union.
But in Israel, he had to fight again, this time with their former allies of the Soviet immigrants who tried to "settle" here in any way, from the banal gossip and friendship of convenience to cooperate with the KGB. The book's title and epigraphs to each chapter E.Levin taken from the Bible (Tanach), showing that non-random, morally grounded nature of his opposition group of people for whom morality were a book of wisdom, which has no relation to real life.
