Since the Middle Ages there is a tradition of the Jews of theatrical performances , purimshpils , dramatizes the biblical Book of Esther. ABOUT THE AUTHORS

Dean Smorgonskaya graduated from the Leningrad Conservatory in 1975 in the composition class of Professor BA Arapova . Since 1990 lives in Israel. Laureate of the International Composers Competition at the University of Murray , USA (2001). Among her works of vocal and instrumental cycle " If I forget thee, O Jerusalem " for flute , piano and soprano (1995), a piece for violin and piano " Chagall stained glass " (2000) , Concerto for Piano and Strings (2001), choral works . Dina Smorgon chamber opera " The Stationmaster " (1999) on the novel by Alexander Pushkin was a success in St. Petersburg Chamber Philharmonic . Nicholas Toll - poet, novelist, translator , playwright, author of six books , including " speech characteristics " (1990) , "Our Heritage" (1995 ), " Pervonachalstvuyuhtsie person" (2001), a number of pieces for musical theaters and puppet theaters .
