The book, compiled by Benjamin Harshavom, Professor of Comparative Literature Yale University, for the first time gathered together essays, articles, interviews and lectures by the great Jewish painter Marc Chagall, in which he expresses his views on contemporary art and his work on Jewish culture and the fate of Jewry in twentieth century in Europe and Israel.
