The Israelis have lived in their historic homeland prior to the Arab conquest, after which came the Diaspora, that is, banishment - a centuries-old era of heavy scattering of the Jews, the endless chain of persecution, oppression and genocide, but the response of resistance, struggle, faith in yourself and your people.
