Introduction

Throughout history, people wanted to improve the environment, increase productivity, to find happiness and peace, to find a cure for diseases. And at a higher level, seeking God.

One day, the rabbi of Kotzk young man came. He asked:
- Why did you come?
- Find God.
- Should not have spent the time and money - said the rabbi. - God is everywhere. Could find at home.
- So why did I come from?
- Find yourself - said the rabbi. - Find yourself!

The person closest to the light of his own. But sometimes he is so alienated from themselves that it is not for nothing farther. This creates a distorted view of themselves, disease and severe problems.

Thanks to this book, one can come to Me, to the realization of his "I" and positive self-esteem. This does not mean that it will never be the stress and problems, this is not the way to escape to a transcendent state. The book examines the psychological revelation of the Torah and the Creator shows how, through conscious life according to His law a person can grow as a person and realize their potential. Self Improvement - a continuation of the work of creation and the incarnation of God's call to the soul: "Let us make man" (Genesis 1:26).

Some of my works are popular, what I did not expect from this book. Most of the available books about self-improvement promise that the author's instructions will grant the reader joy, peace and bliss. I did not do in the book. The Torah tells us that the presence of man in the Garden of Eden was very brief, and after the exile, he has not experienced the heavenly life on earth.

At a time when technological advances help to get rid of many problems, the thesis of this book may seem old-fashioned. But those who are willing to consider it and see that personal development is not due to the wonders of technology, and it can take a lot of time and effort to achieve the goal, which is not only noticeable, but does not bring complete peace of mind, I respectfully give this book .

1 It is said, know thyself. It is much easier to learn something outside, whether it be the world or other people. At the very least, it seems that the lighter, easier to believe. But God wants us to be, first of all, cultivate themselves. And for that we must love ourselves. Without love there is no true knowledge. And without it, improve ourselves and the world? - GS
